Digital Garden

A digital garden is a collection of notes that are tended over time, rather than published as finished articles.

Key principles

  1. Learning in public — share ideas at various stages of development
  2. Bi-directional linking — notes connect to each other, forming a web of knowledge
  3. Evergreen notes — continuously updated rather than timestamped posts
  4. Topography over chronology — organized by topic, not by date

Tools I use

  • Obsidian for writing and linking notes
  • Quartz v4 for publishing selected notes as a static site
  • Cloudflare Pages for hosting
